Provider Networks
Provider Networks for Workers Compensation
Provider networks are an important part of the workers compensation claims process, as many key aspects of an injured worker’s recovery are in the hands of the treating physician.
At Liberty Mutual Insurance, our state-specific provider networks:
- Include credentialed and contracted providers who understand workers compensation cases and provide timely and appropriate treatment
- Are geographically accessible and are available in most states*
- Help control claims costs by offering services at negotiated rates
Introducing Outcomes-Based Networks
As part of our commitment to deliver the best possible outcome on every claim we manage, Liberty Mutual is introducing outcomes-based networks (OBNs) in several states to complement our traditional provider networks. In addition to providing access and savings benefits as found in all provider networks, our OBNs include primary care physicians who are carefully selected based on analyses of past treatment delivered to injured workers.
These providers have been proven to:
- Use evidence-based treatment guidelines to recommend tests and procedures
- Deliver appropriate medical care to employees for their work-related injuries
- Help injured employees return to work in regular or modified jobs as soon as they are able
Several OBNs are currently available, and we will continue to enhance our network offerings across the country.
